Ghost of the Forest
January 2, 1994

Everyday, little Pat goes to pick fruit from the forest. Like always, he starts at 2:30 sharp. Today however, he was told to start at 1:00. “He said “Why should I start so early? Is it because other people have found our ripe fruit and want it for themselves?” His father told him “Don’t worry my son. No one has found the food.”

So off little Pat went to find that day’s food for his family. The reason why he had to go early because his father heard that an evil ghost has been haunting the village and he didn’t want anyone or anything coming after his little son.

So little Pat went into the forest to get food for his family.

Half an hour later, little Pat came running out of the forest yelling. That evening, little pat was ready to tell what he saw. “I saw this thing. It told me to stay with it. I was scared and told it to go away. To some strange reason it started to laugh then it said ‘I will not be fooled by some little kid, now COME!’ Then I ran as fast as I could home. That is all.”

His father then called the police. The police said “We will come by tomorrow. Tell your son to take us to where ever he saw that ghost.”

The next day, little pat showed the police where he had seen the ghost. Nothing was there at the time. This s ghost is not dumb, but he or she must fall for a decoy.

So the next day, the police made a robot decoy and strapped a wire onto it and sent it into the haunted forest. The police and the Anderson’s listened anxiously as the robot emerged into the forest. Nothing that month was more important than this search. Over three hours passed and no sign of this ghost.

“This is useless!” an impatient police officer exclaimed. Right after she said that, they heard something to the robot. It sounded very rough, but they heard the voice plainly. The voice said “You… come with me and I’ll be your best friend.” The police dashed into the forest to get what was doing this to the children.

Suddenly the connection went dead. This ghost had broken the wire. Now the police are lost and they had no idea where they were.

They found the robot, an hour later, in a million pieces. There was a note stuck on the dirt. It said this: “I don’t know what this is but you still haven’t won yet!” The police went deeper into the forest to look some more.

After an hour or so, the police found some clothing on the dirt. Another note that said: You’re on my trail, but you still don’t have me!” Still more to find and not much time, the police start again to find that ghost.

Finally two hours later, they find a teenager whos name is Leonard with some food and clothing under a tree, notebook computer on his lap. The police arrest him for arson and trespassing. The children were then freed from a care and ran home as fast as they could go. So there was no ghost, just a teenager and his foolish ways.
