Tae
Kwon Do Black Belt Essay
(June 3, 2000)
Conclusion
There
is nothing that I can say about Tae Kwon Do that hasn’t
already been said in my essay. The final part in this stage
of my life is to physically go through the test in the days
to come, to succeed and to move on. Remembering that day will
be easy, as it is going to be one of the most important days
of my life.
Starting
Tae Kwon Do three years ago, as a white belt, as being born
into the world of sport. Now, entering the stage of becoming
a black belt, the space that is to be explored beyond the
sun and completion of this part of my training. Why I started,
philosophy of Tae Kwon Do, the five tenants, practicing of
Poomse’s and patterns, Do-Jang etiquette, how Tae Kwon
Do has enhanced my life and goals for the future.
Soon
it will be decided if I have what it takes to become a black
belt. This essay has made me think about things that I have
not thought about before, it has made m realize just how much
I have changed and how I will likely continue to change as
times change and I grow older. I believe the day I receive
my black belt will come when I am ready, and that day will
be soon. I can now only hope and pray my feelings are correct.
