Strap-On
Tools @ Trin/Port (Nightmare Music Festival)
Strap-On
Tools at Trin/Port. Again. This time for the Nightmare Music
Festival. Thank heavens they had better lighting this time,
and I was able to get video footage of the show. I also got
my MD working so I have audio, and thanks to Mel and Katie
(and myself obviously) I have pictures to show you as well.
I
was supposed to get to the venue somewhere around 5:30-6:00pm
because I had like... the majority of the band's gear in my
car. Brandon was supposed to be there somewhere around 5:00-5:30
to start setting up the space. I got there around 6:30 because
the compressor at work exploded leaving me having 30-40lb
boxes of envelopes being heaved at me while I try to repack
them before they got wet, and was still the first to arrive.
I parked my car, left my keys with someone I'd only ever met
once (in a fleeting moment at the last show) and hiked my
ass down to MEC at King & Spadina. King and Spadina is
fucking FAR from Dundas and Ossington. But I made it, and
made it back in time before the first set started.
For
a Halloween festival type show, the turnout of people dressed
up sucked hardcore. I was a pretend Britney Spears/Catholic
school girl, Brandon was Silent Bob, there was a drummer from
a band who dressed up like a knight of some sort, and the
organizer dude who... I think had a mask on. :P
I
have serious trust issues with people handling my camera,
because even though I can pick up any digital camera and use
it, not everyone else can. But, anyways. Here's the pictures.
